Having competed internationally as a rower during my teenage and university years, sport has always been a big part of my life. After calling time on my rowing career, I found a passion for resistance training and bodybuilding.


Never one to turn down a fitness challenge, I completed numerous events, including the London marathon, mountain climbs and endurance assault courses. I was fascinated and slightly obsessed with seeing what my body was capable of achieving.


In my early years I made every training and nutrition mistake in the book. I suffered with multiple shoulder injuries having 2 operations, which severely knocked my confidence and made me realise how important training and health was to my wellbeing. This made me want to become a personal trainer and help people avoid the same mistakes I did.


This became my passion and now, as an online transformation coach, using my experience over the past 17 years, my goal is to help people transform both physically and mentally, giving them the tools to build confidence and to really see what they’re capable of.


I believe personal training is as much about education and empowerment as it is about coaching.




This may sound crazy, but getting in shape is actually the easy part. Maintaining it in a sustainable and enjoyable way is the hardest part.


For many coaches, it’s all about the before and after photos, which don’t tell the full story. I’ve been there before myself, prepping for a photoshoot, on minimalist calories not being able to enjoy food, poor workouts, disrupted sleep patterns and poor overall fitness levels. The problem with prioritising photoshoot transformations is that it only focuses on the short term. 


That’s not what I’m about. Most of the people I work with have already tried a plethora of different programs before, maybe making some short-term progress but finding they can’t make it stick. They are tired of bouncing from one diet to another in search of a holy grail short term fix. Others looked better but felt worse. My coaching is designed to go beyond aesthetics. I focus on creating a long-term sustainable transformation. 


My goal is getting you eating more, while keeping the leanness you desire and of course making good progress in your strength and fitness goals. I not only want you looking better, but also feeling better, that means more energy, higher sex drive, and a new confidence.


Stage 1

Everyone will have different starting points. But my first course of action is to get you lean and starting to build overall fitness. We will build structure into your training and diet that fits around your schedule so that it becomes part of your routine. We’ll get your body fat down to a level you’re comfortable with, but for most guys this is around 10-12%. 


I also want to get you fit. By improving cardiovascular health, not only will it help reduce body fat, but by making your body more efficient you’ll also be aiding your muscle building efforts. This is all about laying the foundations for a long-term transformation that sticks. 


Stage 2

The stage after you’ve achieved this level of leanness is arguably the most important and where most people stop or just simply get wrong. The goal now is to maintain these low body fat levels while building muscle tissue and gradually increasing your calories. I want to get you eating more. 


Where most people go wrong in this stage is increasing their calories too quickly and not adding more intensity/volume into their workouts. It’s important to gradually add in calories and simultaneously focus on increasing output. As calories increase your sessions will improve and you’ll be adding weight to your lifts and getting new PBs at a new rate. We’ll put the extra fuel to good use. Of course, we may have to make tweaks along the way which is why regular check-ins are so important.


Stage 3

This is all about setting you up for the future. Revaluating your goals, whether that be performance or aesthetic goals, we will decide what that looks like and how you keep moving forward. I don’t just want to teach my clients the ‘what’ I also want them to understand the ‘why’, which is crucial to maintain the results long term. 


You should see me as a bit like a driving instructor. I’ll be with you every step of the way as we get you in the best shape of your life whilst also feeling great at the same time. I’m then going to give you the tools you need to go it alone. No more guessing what to do next, no more constantly changing diets, no more limiting beliefs, you’ll have the confidence and the skills to achieve anything you want.
